Greetings, SFC Enthusiasts! Welcome back to another ground pound review at Comic Unknown! We have the privilege of returning to the world of Super Fighting Championship (SFC). Issue two puts us almost immediately into a telepathic match between two psychics, Psionica and the Manipulator followed by a match between The Ram (who controls a field of kinetic energy) and The Gentleman (who controls the powers of shadows). While some supers were actual heroes in the past, others had used their powers for their own benefit. With certain expectations on the line as one of the fighters plans on retiring, readers can enjoy the friendship these fighters have towards one another once they are out of the ring. SFC Issue Two continues with the action-packed pace and also gives the readers a more personal look at the characters. It fleshes out their unique personalities as they are hard at work trying to make their living. The issue also continues off with an SFC Secret file of the great Angelica Reigns as well as a continuation of the mini-series Titanium.

SFC Issue two continues with the same quality issue one provided and does not show any signs of slowing down. The story continues in its steady pace while delivering some excellent fighting exhibitions in between. Considering there are more enchanting or scientific battles in this issue, the art is able to use a nice variety of colors and effects to display things such as shadow powers and psychic abilities. The issue is definitely a fantastic read that only prompts eagerness for the next issue. While unavailable to the public yet, SFC Issue two will be on Kickstarter on October 23rd so make sure to follow their Facebook page to keep track of any updates and catch issue one as it is currently available on IndyPlanet for both print and digital and digitally on Gumroad.

Comic Unknown would like to introduce you to the lucrative world of entertainment involving superhumans clashing in a ring to become the winner of the Super Fighting Championship (SFC for short). Following an unfortunate event where two of the fighters are badly injured, the coordinators of the championship have set up a tournament to establish who is to be crowned as the new champion. Each with their own abilities, SFC Issue one introduces us to Kasai, Boss Stunna, Arma Dei, Jayco, Dynamo, Angelica Reigns, The Gentleman, The Ram, The Manipulator, and Psionica. SFC is jam-packed with three separate fights: Arma Dei VS Jayco, Dynamo VS Angelica Reins, and Kasai VS Boss Stunna. Both on the spotlight and off, these characters easily become personable and pleasant to follow. As the story unfolds, the tension becomes evident between characters as it may become key to future issues. 

SFC #1 establishes to what will become a genuinely entertaining series as both the writing and art is on point.  The issue has a creative team that has great potential. The story is by Marcel Dupree, John Griz, Julien Kohlman and Guido Martinez with the script by Julien Kohlman and Guido Martinez. Lucas Perdomo (Art), Marco Pagnotta (Colors) and Brant Fowler (Letters) brings the story to life as they develop a visually enticing story and performed above and beyond. The issue ends with a smaller story called Titanium where we follow a group of rebels with valuable data as they escape what is only known as the Federation of Freedom. Steampunk Dream

Go Big or Go Home

Comic Unknown would like to welcome a tenacious blue alien named Delilah Blast. This self-titled comic takes place in a steampunk post-apocalyptic era where science governs the world. Our blue alien turns sixteen and wants to join the Earth's Science Association, E.S.A. for short. Unfortunately, she overslept and missed her opportunity to take the entrance exams let alone she's late for school. Nothing was going to stop her from attempting to join the E.S.A. Her dream from earlier piques the interest of her godfather and invites her to a special demonstration. Given another opportunity presenting itself, Delilah wasn't going to let this opportunity slip from her (even if it means going to another planet). Will her resolve be enough to make her wish fulfillment? Afterward, there's a bonus short called Duplicity about a teen flown to Tokyo as an exchange student with a deceptive twist.

Delilah Blast is a rare delight that feels very genuine. Marcel Dupree created a brilliant and energetic story that follows the courageous female protagonist Delilah. The series is something very scarce in the comic book realm as the well-executed visuals done by Joel Cotejar and Ramon Bunge are vibrant and pops on every page. The collaboration done by this team is phenomenal and it seduces you to the very end wishing for the next issue to arrive sooner rather than later. Delilah Blast Issue One was successfully funded on Kickstarter on March 18th, 2017. To learn more about the series, make sure to follow the blue alien on Facebook. As for the bonus comic, Duplicity. After reading the story the name is quite self-explanatory and it was written by none other than Dupree himself. Both the narratives he created are short and sweet leaving you in awe and wanting more. The artwork belongs to Pericles Junior and Ryan Burt respectively and it works.
