Quantum Mechanics

WELCOME TO ANOTHER EXPLOSIVE INCIDENT OF COMIC UNKNOWN

Today we introduce you guys to the mind of Nicolas Dedual, the creator of Torchbearer. With the help of Dennis Calero (Illustrator), Kevin Lintz (Letterer), and M.I. Annoni (Editor), Torchbearer came to life through the publication of Odd Truth Inc in October 2012. Torchbearer takes place in Hyperia City in a year of advanced technology. We follow the character Dr. Selene Elis in issue 1 through a day that starts off bad and gets worse. From waking up late to being exposed to an explosion causing her to lose temporary consciousness, Dr. Elis is now investigating the incident to see who was the culprit that caused the explosion.

With names relating to the Greek mythos, Torchbearer carefully used these names from naming the company after the titan Prometheus to naming the city Hyperia (daughter of the river god Inachus). Hopefully, we see more of this and see how everything develops. This 24-page book is in full color and uses it to its advantage when it needs to. The story catches the reader's attention and leaves us asking questions and wanting more.Who could have caused the explosion? Could it have been an ex-employee, a competitor or someone from within? The only way to find out is by picking up Torchbearer #1 which is available for FREE at Comixology

Daily Dosage

Welcome To Another Chemically Imbalanced Episode of Comic Unknown!!
Rx Cover A

Today we have a pleasure of introducing a new book to review. We welcome Rx, a black and white graphic novel that shows us a world with a serum that grants super human abilities. Written and created by John Wilkey, Rx was once a successful Kickstarter back in 2011. Having its official cover plus two variant covers, the book consists eight separate chapters each consisting of different Pencilers, Inkers and/or Letterers. Here in Comic Unknown, we have seen books consisting different artist's work with great amusement. Each artist would bring us different styles and even different emotions to the book and this book hits the same nail with detail. Today we will be talking about Chapter One which is penciled and inked by Russ Platt).

With out spoiling the chapter, we find a mysterious man that follows anonymous tips on how to obtain small batches of the serum without considering the consequences. The things he is willing to do is unprecedented and nothing could stop him from getting his dosage. On the spectrum, we see a scientist on his last leg experimenting on specific people with another serum with unknown properties. There's always more to the story, and we have our players plus another behind the scenes. Being fan of action and mystery, we see that Rx brings that to the table. A few questions that come to mind are: What are the limits to this Rx serum? Who's pulling the strings and why choose him to collect it? While it is not targeted for young children, this book is a world of its own. It makes you turn the page each time and can be easily binged. This 200+ page graphic novel is available here for $10.00.
