The Endtale

WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER GREAT ADVENTURE OF COMIC UNKNOWN!!!

While the last time we spoke about Solestar, we just did a basic recap of all five issues. Today we will focus on issue 1. With Siike Donnelly as the creator and writer, we have a large amount of talent for the penciling, inking, and coloring. It has 9 different pencilers, just one inker on the tenth page, and 7 different colorists. This book is definitely unique in many aspects. Issue One The Endtale starts off with a narrative from Isamu Takahashi also known as Solestar. He begins to reminisce about his beloved Ashley when she was still alive. While visiting her grave, he senses an ominous storm heading towards the city. By the time he got close enough, he realized that inside the storm is a heartbeat, a woman's heartbeat.

Unfortunately he recognizes the heart beat to Boom, a young American woman with the ability of manipulating electricity around her. While still upset at him for sending her to a holding facility, she informs him that she is looking for her partner. To avoid any major confrontation, he quickly outsmarts her and puts her to sleep with a simple pinch on the neck. Assuming the confrontation was over, he planned send her back to the holding facility. He then gets zapped in the eyes by someone else. Caught off guard with the surprise attack, Solestar soon realize that he's in a predicament with both Boom and Cloud!

A story with a good way to end off an issue, The Endtale would make any reader want for more. With much more to come, Solestar proves itself with a strong beginning and having a spectrum of different art styles does not hinder it in any way. Issue one has a unique narrative lettering design in which I find truly awesome. Solestar Issue 1 The Endtale will be available around the Thanksgiving holiday so be ready!

Addicted

WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER ADDICTING DOSE OF COMIC UNKNOWN!

We recently dived into a world where civilization is segregated with those who are addicted beyond control to Chem 19 and those who are not. Where once someone has taken it, they must continue to use it or they will die. We follow Dr. Jason Wagner, the creator of this apocalyptic drug in his mission on creating a cure for the very thing he created. In issue two, we soon find out that his own daughter Vivian has taken the drug and now needs to constantly be taking enough to survive. But with every drug comes an addiction, and Vivian is no different. With Dr. Wagner hiding her in his home, he arrives home with the required dosage he needs after managing to pass through the check point with from issue one.

With many things going on through a readers mind, one thing kept coming up while reading issue two. What happens if he gets caught smuggling Chem 19 out of the city. Addicted is the second issue of what i hope to be of a long ride into a not so distant dystopian society. While issue two shows more about the effects of the drug addiction than anything else, it is still a great issue that is setting the foundation of what can be a great run. Truglio's writing and Dedelis' artwork complement each other and puts what every parents worst nightmare into a solid comic book. Chem 19 #2 Addicted is available for $2.99 here.and in digital format for $0.99 here. Make sure to become addicted to this story and get your self a copy now!

The Zero Guard!

WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER WELL NEEDED FEATURE OF COMIC UNKNOWN!!

American Riot V.S. Damage

After a short hiatus, Comic Unknown is back and kicking! We start off the month with Mega Maiden and Chop Chop Princess Issue 2. We last saw Mega Maiden and Chop Chop Princess kickin' robot butt and each getting new costumes. In issue two, we find these up and coming super heroines getting a special invitation from the Zero Guard, a super hero group based in the city. Zero Guard is relocating to another city and wants MM and CCP to become honorary members of the Zero Guard. With one of the members of Zero Guard staying to train MM and CCP, they quickly find the super villain Damage in fisty cups with The American Riot. With Damage's Hulk like attributes and American Riot's act first and think later in the act of justice style, the honorary Zero Guards get involved and once again shows the baddie who's boss.
Say Hello to the Zero Guard!
With new allies everywhere, MM and CCP will soon find a new villain in the horizon only known as Robotina in which is everything but average. With two chapters down, Andeh Pinkard's harem/manga styled comics are the proper doses of crude humor in the life of two new heroes on the block. With new characters such as American Riot and the Zero Guard in the series, there is seems to be a good amount of networking going on with the dynamic duo. Like before, the manga art style seen in the issue benefits its humorous writing and allows the reader to enjoy the story line without anything holding it back. While not appropriate for most, Mega Maiden & Chop Chop Princess is always a fun read. It is still building up the Pinkard-verse with plenty of new characters appearing in this issue and more in the horizon. Mega Maiden and Chop Chop Princess Issue 2 is available for 2.99, so what are you waiting for?!
